17.6 Pounds of Heroine Seized
Mercer – A Bronx, New York man remains in Mercer County jail after police say they discovered more than 17 pounds of heroin hidden in his vehicle. 31-year-old Jose Cabrera was pulled over on Interstate 80 at about 7 PM last Wednesday and when the Pennsylvania Trooper became suspicious asked to search his vehicle. A hidden compartment was discovered that contained eight kilos, or more than 17 ½ pounds of suspected heroin. Cabrera’s bail has been set at $100,000.

New York Scammers Charged in PA
Norristown – Two alleged scammers from The Bronx, New York have been extradited to Pennsylvania to face charges after using the internet to scam more than $145,000 from senior citizens in the Keystone State. According to Attorney General Michelle Henry, Jaime Barham (25) and Francis Rohann (24) were running a Publisher’s Clearinghouse and an Antivirus Scam targeting older Montgomery County residents. A third New York man named Qiaun Li has been charged in Pennsylvania for a separate scam.
