Labor Day DUI Enforcement
Hershey – For Labor Day Weekend the Pennsylvania State Police and other law enforcement agencies will be conducting impaired driver enforcement details to search for drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Last year 110 people were injured and eight were killed in 141 drug and alcohol related crashes across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. If your holiday plans involve alcohol please make sure they also involve staying put or using a designated driver or ride share service for your travel needs.
The Pennsylvania State Police alone arrested 515 drivers for DUI in 2022 and this year will be increasing enforcement with help from a $6 million grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. PennDOT, the Pennsylvania State Police, and 7 Mountains Media wish you a safe and happy Labor Day weekend so please don’t drive impaired. Stolen ATV Sought
Springboro – The Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a stolen ATV that was taken in Beaver Township, Crawford County last Friday. The ATV is a Kawasaki Prairie 360 with a front windshield, green in color, with a black storage bag and blue crate on the back. Anyone with information please call PSP Meadville (814)332-6911.

Free Concert Benefits Cancer Research
Meadville – Light up The Darkness is a musical cancer benefit taking place at the brand new ARC Community Greenspace at the corner of Clinton Court and Market Street in Meadville this Saturday, September 2nd. Nine local bands and musicians will be playing the concert at 1 p.m. and turning it all the way to 11 p.m. to solicit donations for the American Cancer Society. 

State News, Escaped Murder Sought
West Chester – A manhunt is underway in eastern Pennsylvania for an escaped killer who was convicted only a few weeks ago. Danelo Cavalcante (34) escaped from Chester County Prison yesterday morning after being sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his girlfriend, he is also wanted for homicide in Brazil.
