Escaped Fugitive in Eastern PA Now Armed
Pottstown – Authorities are expanding their search for Danelo Cavalcante in eastern Pennsylvania after he apparently slipped through a perimeter set up to catch him. Cavalcante is believed to no longer be around Longwood Gardens after he managed to steal a van which was found ditched outside the search area. Danelo has also changed his appearance by shaving and authorities believe he may be getting help. The Pennsylvania State Police are adjusting their strategy and it’s been nearly two weeks since his escape from prison after he received a life sentence for the murder of his girlfriend.
Update: The Pennsylvania State Police reported that Cavalcante obtained a firearm in a post on social media at about 2 AM this morning. They are urging residents of Coventry Township, Chester County to stay home and lock their doors, windows, and vehicles.
