Dirt Bike Rider Flees Traffic Stop
Union City – The Pennsylvania State Police are attempting to identify a suspect who fled from a traffic stop through Union City on a dirtbike on Saturday, August 19th. The rider astride the white bike fled through Union City utilizing both the road and sidewalks along Waterford and North and South Main streets at about 10:15 AM. At one point the bike laid down on its side as the rider attempted to make a sharp turn onto Concord Street but was then righted and continued to flee. Troopers canceled the pursuit because it was becoming too dangerous for the public. Border Patrol Captures Escaped Convict
South Coventry – Two weeks after his escape from an Eastern Pennsylvania prison, convicted killer Danelo Cavalcante was finally captured by authorities. Cavalcante was hiding in a pile of wood in a shed when he was found by US Border Patrol’s tactical unit, BORTAC shortly after 8 AM yesterday morning. Cavalcante tried to flee through thick brush and underbrush but was thwarted by a border patrol dog named Yoda.
