Rollover Crash
Union City – Two young women suffered only minor injuries when their SUV rolled near Union City on Saturday. Crash scene investigators say that the 18-year-old driver was traveling at an unsafe speed and could not make a left turn and she ended up in a ditch which caused the vehicle to roll. They were both taken to Corry Memorial Hospital for treatment and the driver was cited for driving at unsafe speeds.

Police Search for Assault Suspect
Meadville – Authorities are searching for leads to a suspect who assaulted a 49-year-old man on Terrace Street Extension just outside of Meadville at midnight on Thursday, September 29th. The suspect is a white male described as about 6’2” tall and weighing 250 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call the Meadville State Police at (814)332-6911.

New Charges for City Manager
Dubois- The former City Manager of DuBois is facing further criminal charges. John Suplizio was already charged with multiple crimes for allegedly using money from the City Funds and United Way which he was secretary to pay personal gambling debts and yesterday he was arraigned for theft by unlawful taking, obstruction of justice, and other crimes related to his conduct as city manager. Suplizio is now charged with 13 felonies and 10 misdemeanors.

Peach Street Closure Today
Erie – A portion of Erie’s Peach Street will be closed today. The closure between 7th and 9th streets is expected from 9 AM to 5 PM while Erie Waterworks does critical maintenance in the area. In Meadville, paving will continue on Park Avenue throughout the day, there will be no parking and only one lane is open to traffic.

State News, Man Killed, Police Injured in Gun Battle
Philadelphia – Three police officers were injured in an exchange of gunfire with a man who had shot his brother moments before. The shooting started over a familial argument between the suspect, his 12-year-old son, and his brother and escalated to the suspect chasing his son and brother upstairs and shooting his brother. The suspect waited downstairs for police and immediately opened fire when they arrived, injuring two officers and a sergeant before he was killed by return fire. The three Philly PD officers suffered minor injuries, but the man’s brother is in critical condition.
