Felony Charges for Hitting CYS Worker with Door
Mercer- A Mercer County man is charged with aggravated assault on a Children and Youth Services Worker. Authorities say 30-year-old Justin Barr of Mercer got angry at the worker while she was performing a home inspection and hit her with the door of a car. Attacking a government employee while they are at work in any manner is a felony in Pennsylvania.
Library Used Book Sale
Meadville – The Meadville Public Library is looking for donations of gently used children’s picture books or juvenile fiction and non-fiction for their annual book sale. Please bring donations to the main desk of the Meadville Public Library on 848 North Main Street by October 31st.
Rite Aid Closings in Region
Camp Hill – As part of its bankruptcy restructuring, Rite Aid has announced that three of its Northwest Pennsylvania Stores will be closing. Two Erie locations on Liberty and Parade Streets and the only Rite Aid in Titusville, located on East Central Avenue will be closed before the end of the year. The Camp Hill PA based chain of pharmacies will be closing about 150 underperforming stores as part of its bankruptcy restructuring scheme. on Wednesday they revealed the company has lost about $1 billion in the last year.
