Two Fatal Crashes
Franklin – On October 1st, a Knox woman was killed in the same collision that left her passenger only lightly injured. Investigators just released a report about how a 19-year-old lost control of her vehicle on Bredinsburg Road in Venango County’s Cranberry Township went airborne and collided with a tree. She was declared dead at the scene but her passenger was evaluated for only minor injuries.
Saegertown – Police believe that alcohol contributed to the fatal crash of a Ford F-150 on Saturday evening. Damian Coscia of Saegertown suffered lethal injuries when he crashed on Grange Center Road in Cussewago Township, Crawford County. First responders say the 48-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected through the driver’s side door as his vehicle collided with trees.

After Hours Movie Night for Adults
Oil City – Oil City Public Library is holding an after-hours movie night for adults on Saturday. The double feature of Polterguest and Scream begins at 7 PM and ends around midnight; there will also be snacks and a basket raffle. The After Hours films are both rated R and may only be attended by adults who are 18 and older. RSVP at the Oil City Library or call (814) 678-3072.

Voter Registration Deadlines
Harrisburg – Today is the very last day for PA residents to make sure they are registered to vote ahead of the November 7th election.  Voters in PA also have only eight days to request an absentee or mail-in ballot; the deadline for those requests is on Tuesday, October 31, by 5:00 PM. Election Day is November 7th and that is also the deadline for mail-in and absentee ballots. Check your registration status, register to vote, or apply for an absentee or mail-in ballot at your local election office or online at Vote.PA.gov.
