Weather Related Closings and Delays Expected
Northwest PA – Operation Weather Alert will be watching for closings or delays after the National Weather Service has issued Lake Effect Snow Warnings that begin at 7 a.m. this morning for Crawford, Erie, and Warren Counties and runs until the same time on Wednesday morning – NWS suggests a foot or more of snow could fall in some areas between that period in time. At least six inches of snow is expected to fall over that two day period, the majority of which is expected Tuesday afternoon and night. A winter weather advisory has been issued in Mercer, Venango, and Forest Counties beginning tonight at 7 and ending on Tuesday night; that area could receive several inches, perhaps as many as four or five before the snow front shifts east toward Cleveland. Operation Weather Alert will be online, keeping track of closings and delays for over 100 schools and organizations across Northwest Pennsylvania.
