Woman Leads PSP on Thanksgiving High-Speed Chase
Mercer – The Pennsylvania State Police reported the arrest of 32-year-old Brittanny Goodwine of Pittsburgh, who they said led officers on a high-speed chase on Thanksgiving Day. When a Trooper from Mercer County attempted to initiate a traffic stop for a broken taillight on Interstate 79 she sped away from them which began a pursuit that continued all the way through Mercer and Butler and into Allegheny County. Her vehicle was finally stopped after police managed to disable it on the Wexford Exit of I-79. Goodwine was allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance and was charged with four felonies for possession with intent to deliver that same substance, and another for fleeing and eluding police, as well as several summary and misdemeanor charges. She’s being kept in Mercer County Jail after failing to make $25,000 bail.
