Lost Firearm Found
Centerville – The Pennsylvania State Police are in possession of a lost firearm. The weapon was discovered near Cloverdale Road in Rome Township, Crawford County on Monday, November 27th, shortly after the beginning of deer season. No description of the weapon was provided by the police, but it is presumed to be a hunting rifle or shotgun. Hunter Mistakes Man for Coyote
Greensburg – The PA Game Commission is investigating an incident after a man was shot in one of their shoulders by another hunter in Westmoreland County. The victim reports that they had just ended their outing, put their gear away, and removed their orange clothing before being shot. The shooter apparently mistook the other outdoorsman for a coyote they were stalking. The shooter rendered first aid to their victim and called 911 on their own. Investigators did not mention whether or not the two men had any kind of connection.
