Rainbow Sherbert Road Holds up Traffic
Emlenton – Portions of Interstate 80 were closed for about 3 hours due to the buildup of nearly 20 tons of ice cream after a tractor-trailer rolled into its side on the Emlenton Bridge at the Venango and Clarion County line. The crash à la mode, as it was called by the Emlenton Fire Department, happened at around 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning, turning the Westbound lane of I-80 into a rocky road covered in thousands of half-gallon containers of ice cream. Authorities say there were no injuries reported by the driver of the truck and traffic flow was restored to the area shortly before 4 a.m.
