Missing: Abrey Walters
Oil City – The Oil City Police are searching for a 46-year-old man who went missing on Christmas Eve. Aubrey Walters went missing from his home in Oil City on Christmas Eve according to his family. He is a white male said to be about 6’1”, he has a slim build and a shaved head; in a photograph distributed by the Oil City Police Department Aubrey appears to have blue eyes and brown hair. Briere Sentenced for Vandalism Caught on Video
Erie – Daniel Briere, son of the Philidelphia Flyer’s General Manager, who was caught on a viral video pushing an Erie woman’s wheelchair down the stairs of a Pub earlier this year was sentenced in court last week. The 24-year-old former Mercyhurst hockey player and another student were sentenced to 15 months of probation as part of the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program after pleading guilty to criminal mischief.
Banker Pleads Guilty to Stealing Federal Loans
Erie – Last week, a Stoneboro man pleaded guilty to one count of theft of government property while in a Federal Court in Erie. 42-year-old Martin Kobsik is an investment banker, formerly from Prudential, who took out a $150,000 COVID-19 Disaster Assistance Loan from the Small Business Administration and admitted in court that he used the money for a vacation and to make improvements to his home rather than keep his business running. Kobsik could face a 10-year prison sentence and/or a fine of up to $250,000 during his sentencing in April.
Feds Arrest PA SWATer
Tulare, CA – In State News, a California resident was arrested by Federal Agents in relation to SWATting incidents in Pennsylvania. The act of SWATting involves calling the police in order to anonymously report a criminal threat in a home, business, or school and initiate a police response. 19-year-old Nathaniel Deleaon of Tulare California was arrested on Friday for making several such calls in Pennsylvania’s Cumberland and Franklin Counties; allegedly in an effort to harass a teenage girl he had met online.
