Police Seek Help to Solve Burglary
Spartansburg – Police are investigating a burglary in the town of Spartansburg. Shortly before Christmas, on Tuesday, December 19th, the owner of a home on Glyndenn Road left with his family for about an hour, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., and returned to find someone had broken in. A small black safe containing birth certificates, social security cards, and other personal documents was stolen from the residence as well as a black leather wallet and $2,950 cash. Anybody who may have information about this burglary is urged to call the Pennsylvania State Police in Corry at (814)663-2043.

Officer Sues Neighboring Police Department
Erie – An Edinboro Police Officer is suing Cambridge Springs PD in Federal Court over harassment charges filed against him in August. Harassment charges against Officer William Winkler were dismissed in District Court for lack of evidence back in October, but he is not done with the case. Earlier this month Mr. Winkler filed a suit against the Cambridge Springs PD alleging the department violated his rights by bringing a criminal case against him without sufficient evidence, he also accuses the officer who cited him of defaming his character with personal remarks made to other officers in his department.
