DUI Crash Involves Four Cars
Venus – A Centerville woman has been charged with DUI after causing a four vehicle collision in Venango County’s Pine Grove Township. Police allege that Lindsey Sitarz was under the influence of drugs or alcohol when she lost control of her vehicle while making a left turn on Route 157 and hit the left driver’s side of a vehicle in the opposite lane and continued into a driveway where she hit two other vehicles. The occupants of the first vehicle she hit were both taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation and Route 157 was closed for about an hour while debris was cleared from the roadway.
Icy Conditions in NWPA
Northwest PA – It’s very icy this morning! Freezing rain has blanketed the area with a thin layer of ice that has created a slippery outdoor hazard for motorists and pedestrians; conditions have led to a number of closings and delays across the region that can be checked by visiting Operation Weather Alert. At press time PennDOT has reduced the speed on every Interstate Highway in the region to 45 miles per hour due to the weather conditions. If you are commuting to work this morning please give yourself ample time to reach your destination, slow down, watch for icy roads, and stay well behind the nearest vehicle.
