Mother Charged in Death of Toddler
Oil City – The mother of a two-year-old child who was found dead in December has been criminally charged. Caleigh Gladfeather has been charged with child endangerment, involuntary manslaughter, and other crimes in connection to the death of her son. Gladfeather had waited two whole days when she told police on December 20th that she had left her toddler son with her boyfriend Travaughn Stribling-Jackson while she went to work and he was missing; Oil City Police found the body of her son in her basement, stuffed in a canvas bag that same day. Stribling-Jackson was charged with homicide in the case, both he and Gladfeather are being held without bail.
Identity of Suspicious Death Victim Revealed
Sharon – The identity of a man who died under suspicious circumstances in Sharon has been revealed. 35-year-old Edward Reedy of Sharpsville was discovered on Monday night with head trauma and died at a hospital. Mr. Reedy’s remains will be autopsied at about noon today in Erie County. Driver Shot in Car
Youngstown, OH – In Youngstown Ohio, the Driver of a car was shot and killed on Sunday night and police are investigating. According to sources and authorities, an 18-year-old man was driving along South Tuesdale Avenue at about 10 p.m. when they were struck by a bullet. They lost control of their car which then caught fire when they crashed into a tree. The victim died from his wounds at St. Elizabeth’s Health Center. The only known witness was a passenger in the driver’s car, they were not harmed in the shooting or crash.
Man Faces New Charges for Attempted Abduction of Teen
Erie – An Erie man has been charged with felonies after he allegedly attempted to abduct a 13-year-old girl last week. Harry Rodriguez Felix allegedly attempted to grab the child and drag her into his van last Wednesday but the girl kicked him and ran away. After his initial arrest, the 33-year-old was charged with a misdemeanor and released but was arrested again over the weekend after a deeper investigation into his conduct; he has now been charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, and more. He allegedly told police he was looking for a prostitute at the time of the crime.
Now Hiring: Game Wardens
Harrisburg – The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is hiring game wardens. The Pennsylvania Game Commission says that qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and must have completed the Hunter-Trapper Education course by the application deadline date of March 7th. Those accepted into the training can expect classes to begin in March of next year with graduation in February of 2026. More details can be found at pgc.pa.gov.
