Man Flies into Rage After Internet Disconnection
Oil City – The Pennsylvania State Police in Franklin have charged an 18-year-old Oil City man with multiple crimes after he allegedly flew off the hook and became violent due to losing internet access, threatening and attacking the other people in his household. Cullen Bish allegedly threw furniture at and threatened to beat and kill his father and sister when the wi-fi was shut off, forcing the other two to lock themselves in a separate room and call the police. Bish has been charged with several misdemeanors including terroristic threats, harassment, and criminal mischief, and remains in jail on $25,000 bail because the judge felt he would continue to threaten his family members.
Missing Man Found Dead
Hillsville – Nearly a year after his disappearance the remains of a missing Ohio man were discovered in Lawrence County Pennsylvania. Paul Kepp had been missing since March of 2023, the 41-year-old was a resident of Boardman Ohio, and was discovered in the village of Hillsville by the property owner of a wooded area by Main Street. Over the weekend Lawrence County Coroner RJ Johnson identified the remains. The cause of death was determined to be a self-inflicted wound from a crossbow and a number of Mr. Kepp’s personal belongings were found in plastic bags at the location.
State News: Senator’s Son Arrested
Philadelphia – Police revealed that the son of a Pennsylvania State Senator was arrested for charges related to a hit-and-run crash last month. Sharif Street Jr. was arrested on January 29th and charged with aggravated assault by a vehicle and related crimes for a hit-and-run collision that caused a 14-year-old girl to suffer a concussion in August 2023. According to police security footage of the incident shows the car hit the girl, stop for nearly a full minute, and then speed away. Street maintains that he was in Atlantic City and had lent his car to someone else.
Amish Home Burglarized
Centerville – Anyone who may have information about the burglary of an Amish residence near Centerville is being asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police in Corry. Last Friday, February 9th, an unknown actor entered an Amish residence on Firth Road in Rome Township, Crawford County, and stole over $1,000 worth of possessions from the owner. Among the items stolen were $80 in cash money, a jar with an estimated $500 in change, and a Husquverna 390XP chainsaw. Please call (814)663-2043 with any information that can help solve this crime.
Fire at VFW
Reynolds – In Mercer County, several fire departments were summoned to a fire at a VFW post in Reynolds. At press time multiple fire departments were still attempting to stop the fire at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7599 in Pymatuning Township and a third alarm to summon more departments was sounded. It’s been reported that flames were bursting through the roof of the building hours after the first crews arrived. The fire started in the early morning hours, around 2 – 3 a.m. and the cause is unknown.
