Human Remains Found on Interstate
Sharon – The westbound lane of Interstate 80 was shut down between Sharon PA and Hubbard OH Tuesday night after a human body was discovered in the median. In Shenango Township, Mercer County, the Pennsylvania State Police shut down the entire stretch of Interstate for several hours to investigate the death of Devin Habib, a 37-year-old man from New Castle. Authorities believe that Devin had suffered fatal injuries after being struck by an unknown vehicle in a hit-and-run while attempting to cross the highway sometime on Friday night or Saturday morning. Change of Venue for Murder Hearing
Meadville – President Judge John Spataro has ordered a change of venue for the first court appearance of the suspect in the murder of an Amish woman and her unborn child in Spartansburg. Shawn Cranston of Corry stands accused of the crime; he will now have his preliminary hearing at the Court of Common Pleas in Meadville’s Judicial Center, Courtroom 1. The hearing has been scheduled for 1:15 on Friday afternoon. Cranston is accused of shooting and slashing the throat of 23-year-old Rebekah Byler on February 26th.
