Police Look for Alleged Child Abuser
Springboro – A March 27th press release details the attempts of a PA State Trooper to locate a woman who allegedly punched her toddler outside of a Dollar General store in Crawford County. According to the release, the trooper believes the woman’s name is Candace Beshar after talking to eyewitnesses but isn’t clear about the spelling of her last name. It’s alleged that on March 3rd, customers and employees saw her hit the child with what was described as a hammer fist while in the parking lot of the store in Springboro. After three days of attempting to track the woman down for questioning the investigator referred the case to Childline.
One Injured in Shooting
Sharon – An investigation into a Tuesday morning shooting is underway in Mercer County. Police say a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg and torso on North Avenue in Sharon shortly after midnight on Monday night and is expected to survive his wounds. At press time authorities had not revealed if they had a suspect, but they had declared that they had recovered over 30 shell casings as evidence. The crime scene was reportedly chaotic, several parked vehicles and nearby businesses had been struck by bullets. Police say this was an isolated incident.
