Authorities Investigate Chain of Gun Store Robberies
Pittsburgh – Three men were arrested in connection to the robbery of a gun store in Mercer County which as of this morning police believe was connected to another robbery in Lawrence County. On Monday morning, using a car stolen in Erie, multiple suspects crashed through the front window of Seconds Count Firearms in Mercer and made off with 21 weapons including 10 AR-15 rifles before fleeing the scene; later the same day three men were arrested with those same weapons in Pittsburgh. At about 4:00 am this morning news station WKBN reported that investigators now believe the robbery was connected to an early Sunday morning burglary at Duke’s Sports Shop in New Castle. The investigation involves the ATF, Pittsburgh Police, Mercer Police, Newcastle Police, and Pennsylvania State Police.

Adopt a Highway
Oil City – PennDOT is seeking volunteers to join the Adopt a Highway litter control program. The job of cleaning trash from the side of the roadway is too big for PennDOT to handle alone along with their other duties. The best way to combat littering is not to dump or throw your garbage at the roadside and the second-best way to combat littering is to help clear the trash that does get left along the roadside. PennDOT works with dozens of volunteer groups and individuals and needs dozens more, visit PennDOT.pa.gov for more information.
