Adopt a Highway
Oil City – PennDOT is seeking volunteers to join the Adopt a Highway litter control program. The job of cleaning trash from the side of the roadway is too big for PennDOT to handle alone along with their other duties. The best way to combat littering is not to dump or throw your garbage at the roadside and the second-best way to combat littering is to help clear the trash that does get left along the roadside. PennDOT works with dozens of volunteer groups and individuals and needs dozens more, visit for more information.
