Biker Injured in Four-Car Crash
Jefferson – A Mercer County man was severely injured when his motorcycle was hit from behind by a driver from Maine. Police say that at an intersection in Jefferson Township, Matthew Dividas of Farmington Maine caused a four-vehicle pile-up by crashing into the back of a motorcycle ridden by a local man at a high rate of speed. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and tossed into the rear of a pickup truck while Dividas’s car and the cycle crashed into another vehicle. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and survived the crash, but was severely injured and taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
