Found: David Herschell
Cabot – Search teams found a missing 74-year-old Butler County man safe and sound on Friday morning. David Herschell of Winfield Township disappeared early Wednesday morning prompting the Pennsylvania State Police to issue a missing person alert and organize a search. According to the man’s family, he suffers from memory loss and can become confused. David was found in some woods not far from his Mercedes SUV on a farm in Winfield Township and was in good health.
Erie Man Pleads Guilty to Drug Trafficking
Johnstown – John Christopher Bisbee of Erie pleaded guilty to multiple charges stemming from drug possession, money laundering, and firearms charges in Federal Court on Friday. The 44-year-old was the ring leader of a drug trafficking operation that operated in Northwest Pennsylvania and Southeastern New York in 2019, distributing at least 500 grams of Methamphetamine. Bisbee faces a minimum sentence of 15 years and could receive life in prison and fines of up to $10 million.
May Unemployment Holds Steady
Harrisburg – The PA Department of Labor and Industry has released preliminary data for Unemployment in May. For the 10th consecutive month, Pennsylvania’s economy has added jobs and continued to see record lows for unemployment. The Commonwealth’s unemployment rate continued to hold steady through the month of May at 3.4% for the eighth consecutive month, consistently lower than the national 4% average. According to the Department of Labor and Industry, almost 100,000 jobs were added in the previous year, and record numbers of Pennsylvania residents have found and kept jobs. 6,167,700 PA residents are employed.
