Police Investigate Crash as DUI
Union City – A Venango County Woman crashed into a house in Erie County. In a press release from Wednesday, the Pennsylvania State Police in Corry revealed that last Friday morning at about 1 a.m., Kaitlyn Comiske of Oil City failed to compensate for a turn on South Main Street in Union City; she drove into a yard and crashed into a tree, rolled and collided with a neighbor’s house. Comiske suffered only minor injuries and nobody inside the home was harmed; Police are investigating this case as a possible DUI.

Dump Truck Driver Falls Asleep at the Wheel
Sugarcreek – Crash scene investigators say that just before 12:30 on Thursday afternoon an unnamed dump truck driver nodded off while traveling north on Route 8, crossed traffic, and hit nine vehicles at a Buick dealership outside of Franklin.  Nobody other than the driver was injured in the crash and there were no customers nor salespersons near the vehicles when they were hit. The driver was taken to UPMC Northwest for an evaluation and treatment for minor injuries. Most of the vehicles that were hit on the lot suffered total damage.
