Sunny Day Camp Announcement
Union City – The Pennsylvania State Police Troop E Sunny Day Camp will happen toward the end of Next Month on Saturday, September 28th at Union City High School. Sunny Day Camp is a one-day event for special needs children and adults and their caregivers in Erie, Crawford, Venango, and Warren Counties; they can meet and participate in activities with members of the first responder and law enforcement community.  Sunny Day Camp is a free event sponsored by donations from the public, the Erie County Kiwanis Club, and more. Governer/AG Comment on East Palestine Settlement
Harrisburg – Pennsylvania’s Governor Josh Shapiro and Attorney General Michelle Henry both sent letters to the US Department of Justice seeking stronger terms in a proposed settlement with Norfolk Southern Railroad over the train derailment in East Palestine Ohio last year. Both letters addressed the same three things they see as key issues; inadequate funds to cover the potential healthcare expenses of PA and OH residents affected by the chemicals from the train; the settlement does not address Norfolk Southern’s lack of health and environmental safety checks; and it doesn’t include any of recommendations made by the National Transportation Safety Board.
