Collision Kills Man, Injures Girl
Sugarcreek – In Venango County, a crash between a classic car and a modern pickup resulted in one death on Saturday afternoon. The Pennsylvania State Police based in Franklin reports that 75-year-old Larry Farer of Cooperstown was driving his 1955 Chevrolet Coupe 210 with a 13-year-old girl when they collided with the back of a Toyota Tundra near Sugarcreek at about 4 p.m. Neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing seatbelts, Mr. Farer suffered fatal injuries, and his passenger was airlifted to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for severe head injuries. The Driver and passenger of the pickup were unharmed.

VA Clinic Grand Opening
Meadville – Crawford County’s new VA clinic has been in operation for a few weeks and will host an official grand opening tomorrow, Thursday, August 15th at 2 p.m. The grand opening will feature a ribbon cutting with all the dignitaries and a guided tour of the new facility for visitors. The new clinic is located at 11200 Perry Highway in Meadville, across from The Movies. Crawford County Veteran’s Services will also be hosting a Veterans Resource Fair at the Downtown Mall from noon until 4 p.m. on Friday, the 16th.
