Three Hospitalized at Amusement Park Mishap
Erie – Several people were injured by an accident at the Flying Swings attraction at Waldemeer Park and Water World on Saturday afternoon. An investigation into the incident revealed that when a ride operator noticed a rider who seemed to be in distress they hit the emergency stop, but some sort of malfunction caused the ride to lower too early and multiple riders suffered injuries to their feet and legs, three were hospitalized. A State Inspector examined the ride on Sunday and according to park President Steve Gorman, after maintenance on the emergency stop, the ride will be back in operation by Tuesday.

Perdue Recall Affects Country
Perry, GA – Chicken provider Perdue Foods has recalled more than 83 tons of frozen chicken nuggets and tenders after customers began reporting pieces of metal in those products. The recall affects 22 oz bags of Perdue Simply Smart Organics Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets, 29 oz bags of Perdue Chicken Breast Tenders, and 22 oz bags of Butcherbox Organic Chicken Breast Nuggets with establishment number P-33944 and best-by dates of March 23rd, 2025 (03 23 25).
