Crashed Truck Erupts into Flames
Warren – Flames and smoke were visible for miles around as a truck hauling diesel fuel caught fire in a Warren County construction zone. At about 7 a.m. Thursday morning a truck hauling the fuel collided with a concrete barrier and erupted into flames on Warren’s east side near the intersection of Route 6 and Ludlow Street. Route 6 was closed for several hours after the crash while firefighters contained the burning fuel and cleaned up the scene. Nobody was injured by the incident.

Rehab Facility Uses Slave Labor
Reading – In State News, The founder of a Pennsylvania non-profit for treating men with substance abuse has been criminally charged for using his organization as a pool for unpaid laborers.  Kevin Kolb, founder of Sick Recovery in Berks County, has been charged with involuntary servitude, theft, tax fraud, and other crimes; his wife Krista is also charged with crimes related to the business side of their scheme. Men who enrolled in drug and alcohol programs with Sick Recovery were allegedly used in construction projects without pay, had their personal items and identification confiscated, and were prevented from contacting their families.
