Two Men Dead in Mercer County
Greenville – Police are investigating an apparent murder/suicide that took place in Mercer County this morning, shortly after midnight. What we know is that police were called to the scene of a deceased man on East Jamestown Road in West Salem Township, Mercer County; when they arrived, they heard a gunshot. When police located the origin of the gunshot they found another man critically injured by a self-inflicted wound. The report states that the second man was declared dead at a Greenville hospital. This investigation is ongoing and police have not released further details.

Body Found in French Creek Leaves Questions
Meadville – An investigation is ongoing in Meadville after three kayakers discovered human remains in French Creek on Thursday Afternoon. Crawford County Coroner Eric Coston says that an autopsy performed on Friday morning was inconclusive as to the cause of death and they are awaiting results of a toxicology report. At press time the remains have not been identified and The City of Meadville Police reported they have no missing persons reports matching the victim’s description from around the area; anyone with information should call the Meadville City Police at their non-emergency number (814)724-6100.
