Man Breaks Child’s Leg for Discipline
Erie – 37-year-old Christopher Foll of Summit Township has been charged with aggravated assault after he claims his attempts at child discipline allegedly got out of hand and broke a four-year-old boy’s leg. Foll is also charged with simple assault, child endangerment, and reckless endangerment. According to the Pennsylvania State Police Foll’s claim is that on August 31st he was spanking the child when it happened, an older sibling of the injured child told authorities that Foll was actually punching him; the same sibling allegedly reported other incidents of clear abuse.
SCOTUS: PA Can Ban Firearms During Emergencies
Washington D.C. – Without comment, the United States Supreme Court upheld a Pennsylvania Law that prevents anyone under 21 years old from carrying a firearm during a declared state of emergency. SCOTUS reversed a Court of Appeals ruling that the law violated the 2nd Amendment. The Justices did not explain the ruling and no dissenting opinions were noted either. 31 other states have similar laws in place that bar people below a certain age from wielding weapons during an official emergency.
One Shot in Cranberry Township
Cranberry Township – There is an investigation into a shooting that took place Sunday morning in Butler County’s Cranberry Township. Butler County 911 only revealed that one person was injured by a firearm at 1 a.m. on Sunday morning and that the shooting happened on Bayberry Lane. No details were provided as to the victim’s condition or whether or where they were taken for medical treatment. There is also no word on whether the police have developed any suspects.
