Police: Man Assaults Football Referee
Meadville – The Meadville Police Department reports that a 34-year-old man has been charged with harassment and assault on a sports official when he allegedly tackled a referee after a JV Football Game on Thursday. According to the report, Brandon Teed tackled one of the game’s referees to the pavement outside Bender Field on Thursday evening after the Junior Varsity football game. Police say that the referee suffered minor injuries from the alleged attack but was not seriously harmed.
Mail-In Ballot Requests Due
Harrisburg – So far, over 210,000 Pennsylvania Residents have requested mail-in ballots ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election and the deadline for those requests is barely more than a week away. The deadline for mail-in and absentee ballot requests is 5 p.m. next Tuesday, October 29th. You must be a registered voter before you can make a ballot request and the deadline for voter registration is by 5 p.m. today. Both can be accomplished at your county voter services office or by visiting Vote.PA.gov.
Mail-in ballots must arrive at your county voter services office or ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024. Before sending your ballot check to be sure that you have entirely filled in the boxes for the candidates you support and have signed, dated, and addressed your ballots in the appropriate areas. Put your ballot into the yellow privacy envelope and then seal it, place the sealed privacy envelope inside the pre-addressed return envelope, and then date the exterior envelope on the declaration area with the same date written on your ballot. Finally, sign your ballot and place it in the mail or a dropbox located in your area. If you do not get a notice that your ballot has been received, you may also cast a provisional ballot in person at your designated voting location.
