Human Remains Recovered
Erie – Erie County authorities report that human remains were discovered near the Millcreek Mall on Thursday. The skeletal remains were discovered in Walnut Creek behind the Elevate Church by a fisherman at about 10:30 in the morning. Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook hopes to have more information available sometime today after an autopsy is performed. CAYCC’s 57th Annual Parade
Meadville – Meadville is gearing up for the longest nighttime parade in Pennsylvania, the 57th annual Halloween Parade! This year’s parade theme is outer space and includes 127 participants; as always it’s sponsored by the Crawford Area Young Chamber of Commerce. The parade begins Saturday night at 6:30 starting at the intersection of South Main and South Street and heading along South Main until it loops around the Diamond, continuing down Chestnut and then Market Street where floats and bands will be judged at the Market House. The parade route will terminate at the intersection of North Street and Water Street. Parade participants will be lining up South Main Street in the late afternoon and evening. Rocky’s morning show host Rockin’ Rich and Kim Ling Ling from voices for vets will once again serve as the parade’s MCs.
