Man Uninjured After Rolling Car
Greenville – An Ohio man avoided injury when he rolled his car in Mercer County. Crash scene investigators report that shortly before 7 a.m. last Thursday Devin Sharpe of Williamsfield lost control of his vehicle on West Jamestown Road in Salem Township. He left the right side of the roadway and entered a ditch where his car hit a culvert and rolled onto its roof. Police say he was transferred from the scene but was not injured by the crash.
Toys for Tots Press Conference
Erie – Representatives from the United States Marine Corps and Pennsylvania State Police will hold a press conference this morning to discuss their 9th annual Stuff the Cruiser event benefitting Toys for Tots in Erie County. The conference will happen at around 11 a.m. at the site of the old OfficeMax building on 905 Millcreek Mall Drive in Erie. The Erie Pennsylvania State Police and United States Marine Corps Reserve have partnered to bring Christmas joy to needy families since 2016. This year’s Stuff the Cruiser event is expected to take place this Saturday from noon to 4.
Boil Water Advisory for Cooperstown
Cooperstown – A boil water advisory was issued for Venango County residents serviced by the Cooperstown Water Authority. The advisory was issued on Tuesday and affects about 130 households in Cooperstown and Jackson Township. According to Aqua Pennsylvania, the corporation that oversees the operations of the Cooperstown Water Company, customers affected by the advisory have been notified and will also be notified when the advisory ends. After Murder Trial, Man Charged in Second County
Meadville – After being sentenced for murder in Mercer County, a Meadville man is now going on trial for crimes in Crawford County. On Friday, Johnny Henry Jr. was sentenced to five to 10 years in state prison and 15 years probation after pleading guilty to the third-degree murder of Joseph DeTello two years ago in Mercer County. On Tuesday, he was brought to Crawford County to be arraigned on two new felony charges related to the overdose death of a Meadville resident he allegedly provided with drugs in the same year as the murder.
