Man Shoots at Neighbor
Grove City – A Grove City man was arrested earlier this month after allegedly shooting a gun at his neighbor over a disagreement.  According to a report released by the Pennsylvania State Police in Mercer County on November 15th, 46-year-old Douglas Sheffler was arguing with another Grove City resident early in the morning of November 6th. During the argument, Sheffler fired a gun toward the other man. He has been charged with recklessly endangering another person.

Police Seek Tips for Stolen 4-Wheeler
Centerville – Authorities in Crawford County are investigating the theft of a Honda ATV in Rome Township. The four-wheeler was taken from a property on Stewart Road sometime last week between Tuesday, November 12th, and Thursday the 14th at an unknown time. The stolen ATV is red in color and according to investigators did not have a battery and the key was kept in a different location when it was stolen. Anybody who may have information about the theft should call the Pennsylvania State Police in Corry at (814)663-2043.

Crash Injures One
North East – One man was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash near North East. Crash scene investigators report that around 1:30 Thursday afternoon, a driver lost control of his vehicle and hit a roadside tree on East Lake Road in North East Township, Erie County. The man was transported to a local hospital for injuries he suffered in the crash. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Trees of Christmas at Baldwin Reynalds Museum
Meadville – The Meadville Garden Club is celebrating its centennial year with this year’s trees of Christmas. The biannual Christmas tradition is hosted at the Baldwin Reynolds House Museum and begins today at noon; it will run Friday to Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. this week and next. This year’s theme is Christmas through the Years and features trees and rooms decorated in styles from the past hundred years from 1924 to 2024. Admittance is only $5 for adults and $2 for students, all proceeds will go to benefit local nonprofits. Free parking and a courtesy shuttle are available at Meadville Medical Center on Terrace Street and there is also parking at Holland Hall next to the mansion. Casey Concedes Senate Race
Washington D.C. – Senator Bob Casey finally conceded to Dave McCormick in Pennsylvania’s Senate race. On Thursday night Casey informed the public that he had called his opponent to congratulate him on his victory. The race between the two candidates for the US Senate was too close, prompting a recount by Pennsylvania law and court battles over thousands of mail-in and provisional ballots extended the vote counting until it took more than two weeks after election day to come to a conclusion. Ultimately, the gap between the two candidates was less than 16,000 votes out of about 7 million.

Flags to Fly at Half Mast
Pittsburgh – Pennsylvania’s Governor, Josh Shapiro, has ordered all United States and Commonwealth flags on public buildings to be flown at half mast in Allegheny County to mourn the death of a firefighter. Batallion Chief John Walsh was a veteran fireman of 37 years; he collapsed at the scene of a fire in Pittsburgh and died in a hospital at the age of 60. Flags in Allegheny County will remain at half-staff until Chief Walsh is interred on an undetermined date. As part of his declaration, the Governor has invited everyone around the Commonwealth to join in the action.
