DCNR Ends Burn Ban
Harrisburg – Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has lifted its ban on campfires in State Parks around the commonwealth. DCNR says after rain and snow fell across the state last week that the risk of wildfires has drastically decreased. Visitors to state parks must still observe all fire safety rules. County-wide two-week burn bans issued around the region in early November were allowed to expire last Tuesday and Wednesday, but some burn bans issued in towns like Meadville may still be in effect, check with your local authorities before lighting any personal fires.
