School Bus Hits Deer
Titusville – No humans were injured when a school bus hit a deer in Venango County. The Pennsylvania State Police in Franklin report that at 7 a.m. on Friday, November 15th, a school bus hit a deer while transporting students in Plum Township. The driver lost control of the bus and got the vehicle stuck in a ditch after hitting the animal; the driver and three children on board the bus were uninjured and the bus was driven from the scene once it was untangled from the ditch.
MMC Buys Five New Clinics
Meadville – Last week, Meadville Medical Center revealed it is acquiring five medical practices in Mercer County by the end of this year. By January 1st, 2025, Meadville Medical Center expects transactions to close on all five practices and says that patients will see no change in services, just new names, new signage, and possibly new phone numbers. Meadville will be acquiring Hubbard Medical Group, Brookfield Internal Medicine, Sharon Family Practice, Hermitage Family Practice, and Mercer Family Medicine Center. Robert Rogalski, President of Sharon Regional Medical Center approves of the transaction. The five clinics will be joining the MMC envelope amid discussions to have MMC acquire Sharon Regional Medical Center from its current owners Steward Health which amid bankruptcy is attempting to acquire money from the state to continue operating.
