Snowfall Decreases Amid School Delays
NWPA – A Lake Effect Snow Warning remains in effect until 1 a.m. tonight, but the National Weather Service reports that the worst is over and PennDOT has dropped all restrictions on Interstates 79, 80, 86, and 90. However, Counties affected by the warning may still see an additional inch or three of snowfall both during the day and night, and with high winds, several inches or in some cases, feet of snow across the region could still cause whiteouts and snow drifts that travelers should treat with caution. There are a number of school closings and two-hour delays in place in yesterday’s aftermath that can be viewed at Operation Weather Alert.
