Woman Accused of Stabbing Boyfriend
Meadville – The Pennsylvania State Police released details on why a Meadville woman has spent 16 days in Crawford County Jail on $65,000 bail. 30-year-old Alberta Lashay Adams has been charged with first and second-degree felonies for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to a police report, Adams stabbed her boyfriend in the back of his right leg during an alcohol and marijuana-fueled argument in West Meade Township at midnight on Monday, December 2nd. She has been unable to make bail.
Human Society Director Charged with Theft
Erie – The former Executive Director of the Erie Humane Society will be arraigned on felony charges today for stealing more than $23,000 from her chapter’s operating budget. The Millcreek Police Department filed charges of theft by deception, device fraud, and tampering with records in order to cover up the theft against Nicole Leone. Leone is accused of using credit cards registered to the Humane Society to purchase things such as clothing and hotel stays and altering the shelter’s records to make them appear like legitimate purchases. Leone was terminated from her position at the Humane Society in November after the Treasurer noticed the unauthorized purchases.
