Baby Tossed from Vehicle in Crash
Erie – A one-year-old child is in critical condition at a Pittsburgh Hospital after a weekend crash in Erie. According to first responders on the scene, a female passenger and a one-year-old baby were ejected from the back seat of a Kia Sorento when it was hit by a GMC Yukon on Ash and East 21st streets shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday evening. EPD reports that both vehicles suffered major damage in the collision. The injured woman was taken to UPMC Hamot while the baby was flown to UPMC Children’s Hospital where at press time it was in a medically induced coma.
The driver of the Yukon and five other people who were with him fled the scene of the crash but were arrested later,but authorities are waiting for data about the speed at which the vehicles were traveling and other information before finalizing charges.

Dog License Renewal
Harrisburg – A reminder for dog families, January 1st is the deadline to license your dog for 2025. A yearly license can be obtained for $8.20 while a lifetime dog license is $52.70; licensed dogs are far more likely to be returned to their family if lost or stolen, better protected in the case of dog bites, and can only be covered by claims against driver’s, homeowner’s or renter’s insurance if licensed. The fine for having an unlicensed dog is $500 or more. Licenses can be purchased through your county treasurer’s office.
