Christmas Eve Crash Sees No Injuries
Meadville – No serious injuries were reported as the result of a Christmas Eve crash outside of Meadville. Crash scene investigators from the Pennsylvania State Police report that just after midnight Dylan Streets of Brownsville Pennsylvania lost control while driving on snowy Cochranton Road and lost a tire from his car before leaving the roadway. The only passenger in the car, a 14-year-old boy, was treated at the scene for some minor facial injuries. The police say Dylan is being charged for driving on a suspended license but not for the crash.
I-80 Closed During Thursday Rush Hour
Mercer – Portions of Interstate 80 East were blocked by a jackknifed tractor-trailer for about four hours on Thursday. PennDOT and the Pennsylvania State Police report that at about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, nobody was injured when the truck jackknifed on the highway and blocked both lanes heading east on the Interstate in Mercer County. The Pennsylvania State Police had to redirect traffic to head back toward the West Middlesex Exit while the truck was removed. The Interstate was reopened at about 7:15 p.m.
