One Dead When Jeep Hits Plow
North East – A man was killed when his jeep collided with a PennDOT snowplow on Saturday in Erie County. According to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police, at about 2:30 p.m. on Route 89 in Green Township 74-year-old Thomas Dedinsky of Ripley New York suffered instantly fatal injuries when his jeep hit the plow as its driver’s view was obscured by blowing snow. There was a passenger riding with Mr Dedinsky, but they reported only minor injuries. PSP’s accident reconstruction team is finalizing an investigation into the deadly crash.
Homicide Investigation in Farrel
Farrel – Authorities are investigating a weekend homicide in the Mercer County town of Farrel. Anthony Lewis Junior was pronounced dead at the scene after a shooting on the 500 block of Beechwood Avenue on Saturday afternoon. Anthony had suffered several wounds to the chest according to information released by Mercer County Coroner John Libonati. The City of Farrel Police have not provided any updates on their investigation into the shooting.
Former Butler County Man Arrested for Child Rape
Slippery Rock – A former resident of Butler County is being extradited back to Pennsylvania on 610 charges related to the repeated sexual abuse of his daughter, according to the Pennsylvania State Police. Harold Stahlmann, formerly of Slippery Rock, but now of Greenville Tennessee has been arrested and charged with hundreds of crimes for the alleged sexual abuse of his daughter from 2011 until 2020 – from when she was eight until she turned 17. Troopers say the victim described over 200 individual incidents of sexual assault when she came forward. The Pennsylvania State Police based in Butler revealed that they are charging Stahlmann with 203 charges each of indecent assault, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, and one count of invasion of privacy. He is currently awaiting extradition from Tennessee.
