Man Charged with Felony for Shooting Dog Five Times
Springboro – A Springboro man is charged with felony animal cruelty after shooting a dog five times; police say he made inconsistent claims about a dog attack. A family called the Pennsylvania State Police after Christopher Malone arrived at their home with a gun in pursuit of a severely injured dog he claimed had attacked a family member. Troopers did not arrive until after the dog had died, Malone related to police that the dog had attacked him and they said his story was inconsistent. When Police found the dog’s remains they found he had been shot in the head three times and the body twice; because of the excessive wounds and inconsistent story Malone has been charged with a felony for animal cruelty.
