Farrel High School’s Athletic Director, Anthony Pegues, said that nobody was hurt in the scuffle. It is unclear what kind of disciplinary actions are being taken.

Icy Roads Cause Travel Hazards
NWPA – This morning, winter weather caused widespread icy conditions across the entire region. A massive winter storm from the Southeast brought pouring rain to almost all of Pennsylvania. In our region PennDOT has issued tier 4 restrictions on Interstates 79, 80, and 376 and speed limit restrictions to 45 miles per hour on Interstates 89 and 90. Conditions have also caused more than 30 school districts to delay classes for two hours or to close entirely this morning; you can check Operation Weather Alert for a complete list of delays in instruction. Freezing rain is expected to continue until around 10 a.m. followed by warming temperatures, today’s highs will reach into the mid-forties by afternoon and should clear most of the ice.
