Criminal Charges for Auction Owner
Mercer- The owner of Miller’s Mercer Livestock Auction was charged with crimes after federal agents visited the auction last Wednesday. Paula Miller is charged with five felonies for aggravated cruelty to animals and 16 charges of animal neglect. Authorities from the USDA and representatives of the Mercer County Human Society discovered five dead cows and a piglet while multiple other animals were penned up in deplorable conditions. Miller allegedly told authorities that she mainly works in the office and doesn’t know what happened.

PSP Trooper Arrested
Harrisburg – Attorney General Dave Sunday announced charges against a Pennsylvania State Police Officer for felony intimidation of a witness and other crimes. On February 24th, Trooper Christopher Young was arrested while carrying a knife and a gun behind the home of a witness in a Schuylkill County police investigation that he had called and texted multiple times. A District Judge denied his bail because he believed that Young is dangerous to himself and others. Trooper Young is currently suspended without pay.
