Teen Hospitalized After Crash
Union City – Distracted driving led to the hospitalization of a teenager in Erie County. A 17-year-old girl was taken to UPMC Hamot by EMTs of the Wattsburg Hose Company last Saturday night after rolling her SUV on Route 8 in Amity Township. According to crash scene investigators, the girl was attempting to connect her phone to the vehicle’s Bluetooth system when she hit a guardrail and rolled her SUV for about 50 feet before coming to a stop on her roof.

Hit and Run Investigation
Meadville – The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash on Tuesday and searching for information about a suspect. The suspect is a woman who police say appears to be in her 20s, she drove away from a collision with an elderly woman’s vehicle and was driving an older, Chevy sedan that is burgundy in color. Police provided security stills from a camera at a Dollar General store that shows her wearing a gray shirt and red and black pants, her hair appears to be blond. Three Charged for Crash that Injured Baby
Erie – Authorities in Erie announced charges against three adults involved in a December 2024 crash that put a one-year-old baby into a coma. A woman and a child were ejected from a vehicle involved in a crash at Ash and 21st Streets on December 22nd, the baby was put into an induced coma at UPMC Children’s Hospital. Both drivers of the two cars involved have been charged with reckless endangerment and driving without a license, a third person has also been charged with reckless endangerment; each of the three is charged with multiple offenses.
