Main Street Cleanup Day
Oil City – Oil City’s Community Cleanup Day is this Wednesday, April 15th. It’s a little bit late to register, but walk-ins are still welcome on the day of. Cleanup Day is from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., with four three-hour shifts for volunteers to take part in. Unregistered volunteers can still report to Town Square, where they will receive safety equipment, work gloves, and trash bags; light snacks and bottled water will also be available. Cleanup activities will mainly include litter pickup, but there may also be some sweeping and raking involved in some jobs; tools like rakes, shovels, and brooms must be provided by volunteers.  Volunteers are also responsible for checking in with event staff from the Oil City Main Street Program at the end of their shift, and all volunteers under the age of 18 must have adult supervision.
