Dominican Woman Killed in Crash
Mercer- The Pennsylvania State Police say a visitor to the United States was killed in a crash in Mercer County. A 65-year-old Dominican woman was killed in Findley Township on Saturday when a vehicle, only identified as a Ford carrying a trailer, slid on an icy portion of the highway, then jackknifed, left the road, and rolled. Of the eight people inside the vehicle, only one was wearing a seatbelt. People were tossed around the cab, and three others were injured, one seriously.
Lawyer’s Rape Trial Scheduled
Meadville – A trial date for 57-year-old Kevin Burke of Meadville has been set. Burke, an attorney in Meadville, will face charges of rape, strangulation, simple and sexual assault, and nine others. According to authorities, when a potential client told Burke she couldn’t pay for his services in May 2025, he allegedly choked her until she blacked out and then raped her in his office. His trial date was originally slated for March, but had to be postponed, and is now scheduled for May 12th; it is expected to last three days.
