Good Friday Crash Hospitalizes One
Fairview – One person was hospitalized after a three-car collision in Erie County on Good Friday. Crash scene investigators from the Pennsylvania State Police say that in Fairview, around 2:30 p.m., two vehicles came to a complete stop to allow another driver to make a left turn into a business, when a third driver came upon the scene and failed to stop. His van crashed into the vehicle ahead of him and crushed it against the vehicle ahead of it. The driver of the middle vehicle was taken to UPMC Hamot for serious injuries.
Hospital Evacuated After Car Crashes Into It
Erie – Part of St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie had to be evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a car crashed into an office near the emergency room. According to the hospital, a valet driver somehow crashed through a 1st floor window in the Hardner building shortly after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. The driver had to be extracted by firefighters and was transferred directly to the Emergency Department for treatment of injuries. Most of the building was evacuated for the safety of patients and staff, but the ER remains open.
