Volunteers Needed to Wilderness Body Search
Guys Mills – The Pennsylvania State Police are looking for volunteers willing to help search specific portions of State Gamelands 69 in an attempt to locate the remains of Debra Daniel next Tuesday, April 29th. Volunteers should gather inside the Randolph Township Supervisor’s Building at 28631 Guys Mills Road in Guys Mills by 9 a.m. Tuesday morning. Volunteers will be searching for human remains in what may be adverse weather conditions. Please bring plenty of liquids and any snacks you may need for a long day, and note that this search will be taking place on foot and in wilderness areas with little or no cellphone service so only volunteer if you believe you can complete the day with minimal risk of ailment or injury. The State Police ask that no volunteer bring any unauthorized animals for the search; specially trained horses and dogs will be present and will have specific tasks assigned to them.
Debra Daniel was last seen alive in 2022. She left her apartment in Meadville’s Holland Towers with a known man and traveled with him to the game lands before vanishing. Until recently, investigators believed that she had visited her mother at a nursing home two days later, but recent discoveries have changed their timelines and made them suspect the case may be a homicide. Investigators are also following other leads as part of a missing person’s case. Anyone with information should contact the Pennsylvania State Police in Meadville by calling (814)332-6911.
