Mimi Recovers from Ordeal
Erie – A dog that was discovered severely abused and abandoned in Erie County in early May is on her way to a miraculous recovery, according to Anna Shelter. On Monday, Team Anna announced on social media that after more than a month in recovery, Mimi was released from the veterinarian and is, in their own words, a brand new dog. Mimi will always have special medical needs after her ordeal and is now in the care of a foster family that has experience with her special needs. An album of videos and photos showed Mimi running, playing, and lounging in the backyard of her new lakefront accommodations.
She is not yet adoptable, but Anna Shelter has numerous dogs, cats, birds, and even more exotic pets up for adoption right now. Oil City Uncorked
Oil City – Oil City Uncorked will get underway tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Take a tour of Oil City’s finest beers and wines, try some samples, and receive a souvenir glass for the occasion. This April’s tour begins at State Street Furniture, and if you haven’t pre-purchased tickets, they will be available for $35 at the door between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.; special $5 Designated Driver tickets will allow you to participate and to buy products, but not to have any samples. All participants must be 21 or over and have a valid form of identification.

Venango County 4-H Craft Show Next Weekend
Franklin – The Venango County 4-H Craft Show happens next Saturday, May 2nd, at the Venango County Fairgrounds from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Over 50 vendors are registered to attend with wares ranging from crochet to woodworking, lotions, candles, baked treats, and much more. The event is free to attend, and breakfast and lunch will be available from the 4-H booth.
