Investigators Blame Smoking for Housefire
Erie – Two people were critically injured and three pets were killed by a house fire in Erie County on Wednesday. One man and one woman were rescued from a fire on East 12th Street in Erie on Wednesday morning and were transported to hospitals in critical condition from smoke inhalation and burns. Erie Fire Marshall Chris White told reporters that multiple neighbors called the fire in, and police and firefighters responded promptly. Two dogs and a cat were killed by the fire, which investigators believe was caused by careless smoking.
Echoes of Home, by Meadville 1825
Meadville – Meadville 1825 continues its free public programs with the opening of two art exhibits today. “Sensing Spring” at the Unitarian Universalist Church is open from 2 – 3 pm and features the creations of Meadville preschool students depicting how their families celebrate springtime and is followed by an open house. Tonight at 5:00, Hatch Hollow will premiere their exhibit, “Echoes of Home: A Journey Through Family and Small-Town Heritage.” Tonight’s grand opening features three hours of live music, and the exhibit runs until May 2nd.
